Wii Fitness

The Wii allows your body movement to be stimulated through the television while you play games such as bowling, golf, tennis, and much more. Wii sports games offer low-impact exercise with a full range of motion while having lots of fun with friends!

The Wii is for Sellers members only. Stop in the office to schedule your sessions, or to inquire about joining or being a substitute for the Wii Bowling League.

Greeting Cards

Personalized Greeting cards are available in the office. Please allow at least 2 days for the office to fill your requests. Thank you! Cost: $4.00 per card

Transportation

 Paratransit  Tickets:  You can purchase  tickets for $10.00 per strip.  A DART identification card is required for travel.  Application forms are available in the office.

Transportation: Transportation is available to and from the center on Tuesdays and Fridays for $2.00 a day.  Transportation to and from medical/health care appointments can also be scheduled on Tuesdays and Fridays per availability.  Cost for appointments within Northern Wilmington are $3.00.  For surrounding areas the cost is $5.00.

Note: All transportation arrangements must be made through the office.

Nutrition

A noon meal is available Monday through Friday through the City Fare meal program to seniors 60 years of age and older.  City Fare offers a hot meal, bagged supper and a salad bar during the summer. A donation for the meal is based on income. The suggested cost is $2.25. Please call the previous day by 10:30AM. to guarantee reservations.  Persons under 60 years of age are required by government regulation to pay $5.00 for their meal.

Note: Cancellations must be made by noon the previous day. If you make a reservation for lunch at SSC and do not show or call to cancel within the appropriate time frame, and a substitute is not found, you will be asked to pay for that meal.

Blood Pressure Screenings

10:00AM on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month with Bayada Nursing.

Notary Services

Call Linda Murphy in the main office (302-762-2050) to make an appointment.  A donations of $5.00 is suggested.

Library

Books can be borrowed during center hours. Returned books should be placed in the laundry basket. Our dedicated "librarians" will keep our library in order.

Note: Not accepting books 2009 or older.

AARP Tax Aide

During the tax session, volunteers from the AARP offer free tax assistance.

Five Wishes

Five Wishes is an easy-to-use legal document that lets adults of all ages plan how they want to be cared for in case they become seriously ill.  It looks to all of a person's needs including medical, personal, emotional, and spiritual.  It encourages discussion with family and physicians.  The cost is $1.00.
